How to use DPOC as a provider: apply, get verified, and take jobs

No fee to apply and no paid lead to unlock. You see the written scope and the fixed proposed payout before you accept anything.

DPOC (thedpoc.com) sends provider businesses priced property work. Homeowners get an estimate from the DPOC engine and send a booking request; approved providers then see the job with its written scope and a fixed proposed payout, and decide whether to take it. Nobody pays to unlock a homeowner's phone number. DPOC does not guarantee jobs, work hours, or earnings — work depends on demand where you are and on your records matching the job.

Which page is for you

  1. You run a provider business

Your business has its own licence, registration, or reviewed basis for the work. Start on the contractor page and apply — the steps are below.

    For contractors →
  2. You work on someone else's crew

You do not apply publicly. Your crew lead invites you with a private link — see “Adding your crew” below.

    For workers & crews →
  3. You want to see what a job pays first

The crew page (also at dpocpro.com) walks one representative job from the homeowner's price down to your payout.

See what the work pays →

Apply in five steps

  1. Create your DPOC account

On the sign-in page choose “Create account”, enter your email and a password of at least 8 characters, and press “Create my account”. Confirm your email once from the message DPOC sends, then come back and sign in. If you prefer, “Prefer an email link?” signs you in with a link or code instead of a password.

Create an account or sign in →
  2. Fill in the application

Give your name and phone, pick every trade you do, and add your licence or registration number and the issuing agency if you have them. Add a link to photos of your work, your years of experience, whether your business carries general liability, and your primary state and work ZIP. Tick the verification consent and press “Apply to the network”. It takes about two minutes.

    Open the application →
  3. Clear the checks in “Your standing with DPOC”

Come back to the same page to see each record marked “Done”, “With DPOC”, or “Needs you”. “Waiting on DPOC… Nothing for you to do” means a person is reviewing it. Anything marked “Needs you” is yours to send; the “Something changed?” box has a “Text DPOC” button for new documents or questions.

Check where your application stands →
  4. Open the crew portal

When you are approved the page says “You're in the network.” Press “Open the crew portal” to reach the job board. Approval is tied to the account you applied from; if you applied with a different email from the one you sign in with and still see the blank application, text DPOC to link them.

Go to the crew portal →
  5. Set up payouts

In the crew portal, open Account and press “Set up payouts”. Stripe's secure page asks for your identity, tax, and bank details — DPOC never sees your bank or ID numbers — then sends you back. Until it is done, “Payout account” and “Tax and bank details” block dispatch. Later, “Open payout dashboard” is where you change your bank account or see payout history.

    Open your account →

What DPOC checks before you can take a job

Approval opens the board; each job still has its own gates. They exist so the business doing the work is the business that is allowed to do it, where the property is. The account page lists where you stand on each one.

  • Trade authority — a current licence, registration, or reviewed basis for that trade, in that state, belonging to your business, with an expiry date on file.
  • Service coverage — you are approved for the job's state and ZIP area.
  • General liability insurance, current, with a future expiry date.
  • Workers' compensation coverage, or a reviewed exemption.
  • Payout account, and tax and bank details — completed with “Set up payouts” on your account page.
  • For some properties, a minimum crew tier (see “Tiers” below).

Finding and accepting work

  1. Read the job card

“Open jobs” on the board shows each job's trade, size, and ZIP, the homeowner's price range, “What the customer asked for”, and your side of it: “Your payout”, materials, labour hours, crew-days, hourly, the share DPOC retains, and an estimated net. Everything is on the card before you commit.

    Open the job board →
  2. Claim it — or pass

Press “Claim this job”. The first time, you review the one-time DPOC Subcontractor Agreement and press “I agree — claim the job”. If it is not for you, press “Not for me”, pick a reason (payout too low, schedule, unclear scope, too far), and “Decline job” — that feedback is used to check the pricing.

  3. Use the minute to change your mind

After you claim, “It's yours.” counts down 60 seconds with an “Undo” button; if you undo, nobody hears about it. After that the claim is in: DPOC confirms with the homeowner and texts you.

If a button says “Not open to you”, the reason is printed under it — for example “This is outside the trades you're verified for”, a trade authority or coverage gap, an expired record, or “Higher tiers get first look at this one. Opens to you in N min.”

Here is how the money side of a card works out for one example job, computed by the same fee engine that sets real payouts. Your own costs decide your real net.

Payout policyDPOC retainsYou are paidNet after costs
Same at every performance tier31.5%$4,108$797
Example: a 400 sq ft concrete job. A $6,000 representative scope, from the same engine that models provider economics. Net is after modeled materials and labour and before business-specific costs. Performance tier, risk label, and authority path do not change the fixed provider payout.

Tiers: earlier access, same payout

Providers move through Starter, Verified, Pro, and Elite by completed jobs, rating, callback rate, and response time. A higher tier sees new jobs sooner and can take more complex properties. It never changes the fixed payout for a job.

Doing the job

  1. Work from “My job”

Press “I'm on my way”, “I've arrived”, and “Start work” as you go. Before each of those, DPOC re-checks that your insurance, workers' compensation, authority, and coverage are still current.

    Open my job →
  2. Take the photos

Under “Work photos”, add at least one “Before work”, one “Work in progress”, and one “Finished work” photo. “Complete job” stays locked until all three are there.

  3. Log what changes

Use “Materials run” and “Pause” when you step away, “Scan a receipt” for materials, and “Change order” if the scope changes on site — it goes to DPOC in writing rather than as a conversation at the door.

  4. Finish

Press “Complete job”. Payout follows the written per-job amount and payment schedule in your agreement.

Adding your crew

  1. Create an invite

In Account, under “Named workers and coverage”, enter the worker's name and phone and press “Add worker and create invite”. Copy the one-time link and send it to them yourself. Links expire after 7 days; “New invite” makes a fresh one.

    Open your account →
  2. The worker joins

The worker opens the link, signs in or creates an account, and presses “Join this crew”. Joining alone does not put them on a job.

  3. Activate them

Back on your roster, press “Activate”. The worker shows as dispatch-ready once their workers' compensation and relationship to your business are on file. “Suspend” takes them off jobs.

Workers get a simpler “Today” screen: the job address with “Directions” once it is released to them, a checklist from “On the way” to “Finished”, and a “Call DPOC” button.

Install DPOC Pro on your phone

DPOC Pro is the crew portal as a home-screen app: it opens full screen and keeps your job on screen where signal is bad. When you open My job or Today, the site offers to install it.

  • Android: press “Install the app”.
  • iPhone: in Safari, tap the Share button at the bottom, scroll down and tap “Add to Home Screen”, then tap Add. DPOC Pro appears with your other apps.

Common questions

Does it cost anything to join DPOC?
No. There is no fee to apply and no charge to unlock a job or a homeowner's contact. DPOC retains a share of each job's price, and the card shows that share and your payout before you claim.
Do I have to buy leads?
No. DPOC does not sell shared leads. You see the job, its written scope, and a fixed proposed payout, then decide whether to claim it.
How long does approval take?
It depends on the licence, insurance, workers' compensation, and workforce records you supply. Your application page shows what DPOC is still reviewing and anything it needs from you.
Can I bring my own contractor licence?
Yes. Your business's licence or registration is checked for the exact trade and the state where each job is. It must be current and belong to the business doing the work.
Does my tier change what I'm paid?
No. Starter, Verified, Pro, and Elite change how early you see new jobs and which complex properties you can take. The payout for a job is the same at every tier.
I work on a crew. How do I join?
Your crew lead adds you on their DPOC roster and sends you a private one-time link. Open it, sign in, and press “Join this crew”; your lead then activates you.
Does DPOC guarantee work or income?
No. Approval does not guarantee job volume, hours, payout, or earnings. Jobs depend on homeowner demand in your area and on your records passing each job's checks.

Priced work, no lead fees.
